First of all if you think you have done everything to try and solve a joint problem you haven’t.

I am not going to discuss the most common reasons you have joint pain or the reasons that our medical system narrowly look at. I am going to offer you a holistic perspective.

Time and time again, day in day out I see people looking at joint pain with a very narrow prospective. If you were to relate joint pain to looking at a house people would be looking at the house through the keyhole or the letterbox. You don’t quite see the whole picture or every room and detail that the house has.

Let me show you the diagram below, here you can see how organs and muscles interact on channels to work in sync. For example the lower back and abdominal muscles would directly relate to the intestines. If you go to the doctor do you think they make this correlation?

Furthermore, you can see another diagram below that illustrates how related mental issues can affect other functions and muscles, and how they relate to the chakras in our body. For example, you may have thyroid and communication issue with a family member that causes issues in the 5th charka and you complain of a shoulder injury. If you go to the Dr do they make this correlation?

What’s the point here?

The point is that the body is an integrated system and you have to take a holistic mindset when looking at joint problems.

Diet

Diet is a crucial part when looking at joint pain, why? Because the integrity of your muscles, joints, bones, ligaments, and tendons is hugely influenced by the food quality. Try this exercise, cook a cheap chicken and an organic high-quality chicken at the same time, then once they are both cooked try to snap the knee joint off each chicken. What you will find is that the cheap commercially farmed chicken snaps easily in comparison to the correctly farmed organic chicken.

Therefore if you are someone that eats cereals, sugar, coca cola, lots of grains and gluten, fast foods and all the other processed foods we have in our supermarkets you may have a problem.

There is a fantastic paper on how grain and gluten consumption are heavily linked to joint pains, arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases.

You can also relate joint pains with a parasite infection or bacterial problem. There is now a lot of research linking joint pains with gut bacteria. Depending on where the joint pain is will dictate the area of infection. If the joint pain is at the knee, then it’s potentially a parasite affecting your gut. You would obviously need to be tested for this and you would only look at this if you have looked at potential factors. You could do this by stool or saliva sample depending on various factors.

Additional factors

Other factors for keeping your joints healthy are:

  • Posture
  • Stretching under the guidance of a good coach so you are stretching the restricted areas.
  • Supplements such as collagen, omega 3’s Vitamin D3. HAS TO BE OF HIGH QUALITY, NO CHEAP SUPPLEMENTS. ATP LABS ARE GOOD FOR THIS, THERE ARE MANY OTHER GOOD COMPANIES TOO.
  • Performing exercise with the CORRECT technique.
  • Ensure you are changing the exercises in your program every 4 weeks. This will decrease your chance of pattern overload and injury.

I have used two of the images from the book How To Eat, Move, and Be Healthy. This book is essential for anyone wanting to improve their health and would make a good resource in helping you resolve any additional health issues you may have.

Another option would be to hire a good health and exercise coach that can give you the guidance that you need to help relieve your pain and complaints.
