Tips For Reducing Stress

There are so many ways to reduce stress so today I wanted to give you some tips that are easily applicable. I won’t be providing you with numerous methods for reducing stress as I don’t want to give you paralysis by analysis or information overload.

1. Hydration – If you are dehydrated your body think’s it’s under stress. Therefore apply this sum and you will know how much water you need to consume per day. Evian is a fantastic choice of high quality water. YOUR WEIGHT IN KG X 0.033 = YOUR DAILY INTAKE OF WATER IN LITRES

2. Zone Exercises- These are woking in exercises that stimulate your chakras. Chakras are energy centres in your body. Through the use of breathing oxygen reacts with the water in your body to create a piezoelectric current. I refer to this as “working in” (the body accumulating energy). Try these 2 zone exercises – The Energy Push and Zen Swing. Tai Chi and Yoga are other methods of working in exercises.

3. Diet – What you eat and the quality of your food intake relates to your mood, thoughts, energy, and health. The best advice I can give you is to download my free ebook “Flatten Your Abs Forever”. The ebook will provide you with some good nutritional information.

4. Sleep- Why stay awake until 12:00pm? Doing this is stressful to your energy supply, mental, and physical performance. Be asleep by 10:30pm. This will help regulate your sleep rhythms. If you are struggling to sleep you can consult me or a Naturopathic Physician.

5. Try some meditation tracks on YouTube – Simply take 10-15 minutes out of your day. Lie down on your bed, close your eyes, and breathe whilst listening to some relaxing music or meditative narrative. Breath in through your belly (air comes in through the nose) and exhale out through the mouth.

6. Colouring – Colouring activities help relieve stress and train your mind to focus on one activity.

Additional considerations

Medical drugs and chemicals – I am not here to tell you to stop taking your medication, but i want you to be aware that chemicals in the form of drugs, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and certain fertilisers are all stressful to the body.

Electromagnetic stress – Often overlooked, pollution emitted by cell phones, computers, microwaves, WIFI, and Bluetooth devices has quite an insidious affect on your hormonal and autonomic nervous system.

The points mentioned above are certainly a good place to start. If you can take steps to address sleep, diet, exercise, breathing, and hydration you will find yourself heading in the right direction.
