In previous videos and blogs I have discussed “working in” exercises such as tai chi, stretching, massage, yoga, and zone exercises to help the body accumulate energy. Often too much emphasis is placed on “working out” such as running cycling or playing your favourite sport. These are all exercises that expend energy.

Some of the benefits of “working in” are listed below.

3.Balances hormones

4.Helps digestion

5.Improves breathing

One of my favourite working in exercises is the energy push. I highly recommend you take 2 minutes out of your day to give this exercise a go. Once the exercise is finished you should feel more energetic.

How can exercises like the energy push give you energy?

It is basically down to your breathing. Breathing carries a positive magnetic charge whilst the water in your body carries a negative magnetic charge. When the two work together they create piezoelectric current which essentially is energy in the body. When the heart receives oxygen from the lungs it acts as a generator producing a powerful electromagnetic field. Furthermore the heart acts like a pump sending a charge to all the systems and cells in your body.

We call the energy push a Zone 3 exercise because it focuses on the third chakra. Chakras are wheels of energy that we have in our body and there are 7 chakras in total. Each Chakra is related to nerves, organs, emotions, psychological, and spiritual states of being .

The energy push is related to:

1. The muscles of the upper abdominal and middle back

2. Digestion

3. Assimilation

The issues the 3rd chakra can relate to are personal power, self will, and digestion so if you feel you struggle with these issues yourself the energy push may well be the perfect exercise. To learn how to perform the energy push watch the video below:

How do I know when to work in?

You know that feeling when you get home from work where you feel absolutely knackered and you can’t be bothered to go the gym? As a result of this you decide to go home and lie on the sofa and do absolutely nothing. This is the time to work in and performs some exercises that will boost your energy. You can find some of my working in exercises on my YouTube channel. There are of course other forms of working in too such as yoga, tai chi, stretching,and massage.
